Foxholm somali cats are going to the cat show
Foxholm Somali Cats Are Heading to the Cat Show
There’s something special about preparing for a cat show — a mix of excitement, careful planning, and quiet pride in the cats we have raised with so much dedication. At Foxholm Somali Cattery, we are happy to share that our Somali cats will be attending an upcoming show organized by Sveriges Nya Raskattförening (SNRF). For us, exhibitions are not only about titles and results, but an opportunity to present our breeding work, receive professional evaluations, and continue learning from experienced judges who truly understand the breed.

More Than Just Competition
While certificates and titles are part of the journey, they are not the main goal. What matters most is the judge’s opinion — detailed feedback on type, coat, structure, and overall balance. This helps us make thoughtful breeding decisions and continue improving with each generation. Cat shows are also a chance to meet other breeders, exchange knowledge, and stay connected to the wider Somali community.

Preparing Our Cats
Each cat is carefully prepared with grooming to highlight the natural beauty of the Somali coat. Just as important is their wellbeing — our cats are raised in a home environment and we always aim for them to feel confident and comfortable, even in a busy show setting.
A Breed Worth Showing
The Somali cat is elegant, expressive, and full of life. At Foxholm, we focus on rich, deep colors with warm undercoats, balanced type, and well-socialized cats. Our lines are known for strong pigmentation and beautiful coats — something we are always proud to present.

Looking Forward
We are very much looking forward to this show — to meeting colleagues, seeing beautiful cats, and presenting our own. You are very welcome to visit us in Uppsala! Stay tuned — we will share updates and results after the event.
