Foxholm Tails

Some cats stay with you a little deeper in the heart — and Tails is one of them. Born at Foxholm, she was always a special girl. From a very young age, she had that quiet confidence, beautiful expression, and the kind of presence that makes you stop and look twice. When the time came, Tails moved to a trusted cattery in the Netherlands. Letting go is never entirely easy, but it means a lot when a kitten continues its journey with people who truly understand the breed and share the same values.

Her Story & Lines

Tails carries a combination of carefully chosen lines. On her mother’s side — connections to familiar, well-loved lines, and on her father’s side — valuable outcross that adds freshness while keeping the type and coat we aim for. For us, this is what breeding is about: not just pairing cats, but thinking ahead, preserving what matters, and gently improving with each generation.

A Natural in the Show Hall

At her very first show, Tails felt completely at home — calm, confident, and simply herself. Her results were wonderful:

  • CACP
  • Best in Breed
  • Nomination for Best in Show
  • Best Semi-Longhair Kitten
  • Best Kitten of the Show
  • Kitten Ring – 1st place
  • Master Ring – 2nd place
  • Double Master Ring – 2nd place

But more than titles, it was the judges’ appreciation of her type, coat, and overall harmony that meant the most.

A Part of Foxholm, Always

Today, Tails lives in the Netherlands together with the other Valinor Somalis, where she is expected to contribute to future generations. And even though she is no longer here with us, she will always remain a part of Foxholm. Watching our kittens grow, succeed, and become part of something bigger — across countries and catteries — is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
